J&K Colleges to reopen on Feb-01, 15 | KNO

Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNO): The Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir are all set to re-open for academic activities from February-1 and 15 respectively after a gap of one year. Officials at the Higher Education Department informed the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the colleges here will reopen on February-1 and 15 accordingly. The official said, “The winter vacation in summer zones of Jammu and Kashmir will culminate on January-31 and in winter zones, the vacation will end on February-14. He said, “Students as well as staff of the higher education department will have to observe COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the department has made all arrangements in this regard.” Pertinently, the higher educational institutes here were closed in March-2020 following the outbreak of COVID-19. Earlier in 2019, less than fifty percent academic activities were held in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article-370 in August. The School Education Department also had announced reopening of schools in straggled for physical academic activities February-8 and March-1—(KNO)
